Camping

We went camping the last week of June.  Rain was scheduled for all weekend, but we decided to still try and go.  We left Sunday afternoon and it was drizzling.  As we got closer and closer to our campsite (Horsethief Lake Campground), the drizzle was more of a pour.  We pulled into our spot and decided what to do.  The girls were beyond excited, so there was no way we were driving home yet.  Eric decided to take the big girls in the rain and fish.  So, I sat in the car with Carley, Maggie, and Amelia and we ate some of the snacks.  After about an hour, the sun came out!!  We all jumped out of the car and set up camp.
Eric and the girls fished all afternoon until dinner time.  They all caught fish too!!!  They loved it!  I set up camp with Amelia and she napped a few times in the tent.  She did pretty good.  That evening we just sat around and played around the fire, went on a small walk, and went to the potty about 25 times.  Bad idea to bring juice boxes camping.  The girls had to go potty every few minutes or so, and would not squat in the woods!  So, we walked to the camping potty up the way every time.  Thankfully, it wasn't too far.
By the time it got dark, we all settled into the tent.  Amelia had already been asleep for a few hours, and we put a movie on (I know, I know, CAMPING??) but we figured we needed a movie to put the girls to sleep.  And it worked.  By 10:00 all the girls were snoring.  And pretty soon, we heard rain drops.  And more rain drops.  By the time it was 2am, it had been raining pretty steadily, and we were so worried we were going to get wet.  So, we woke the girls, hurry and packed up camp, and hit the road home.  We were in bed by 4am.
But overall, it was a blast!  We need to take the girls again.  That was our first real time camping with all the kids by ourselves and it was worth it.  (need to add pictures)
