First friend

Hannah was Payton's first friend that she met last year at school. They have been friends ever since.  Hannah was born and raised here for many generations.  Her mom went to St. Columbkille.  So, sometimes it is hard to become friends with someone that has a million cousins and friends already.  But Payton has tried and tried and they are becoming closer and closer.  She has been begging for a year to have Hannah over, but we just never had room.  Well, we finally did it!  Payton was so excited, she couldn't sleep.  I feel bad that the simple things like having a friend over are a big deal to my girls, but we just don't do that stuff a lot.  I need to be better at that.  Anyway, we brought Hannah home from school and they played, we are dinner, and then we walked over to the football stadium and we all watched our first high school football game.  It was a great night and I love to see Payton learning to be a good friend - and a good sister.  It can be hard to juggle the two at the same time, and she did a great job.  And of course, Maggie LOVES Hannah, so Maggie was a nuisance, but Payton handled it like a champ.
