Volleyball

So, they needed a 5th grade volleyball coach this year, so I volunteered since Payton was playing.  I thought how hard can that be?  Well, the coaching part has been so fun!  I love having something to do and plan for.  I do a practice plan each week, research good drills for them to practice, go over stats, and it brings back so many volleyball memories for me.  The downfall is that I am still a Mom to five.  It takes me away from the girls at least two nights a week, plus any games or tournaments.  That has been the hardest.  I realize that I am the best Mom I can be when being a Mom is my #1 focus.  I need to be able to put them first all the time, and then I feel successful.   But having this other responsibility, and missing bath time and bedtime and other games, I feel so bad. I don't know how working Moms can do it.  So, I will do my best this season, and then we will see.  I hope the girls are learning a little bit through this as well.  I think they are taking me for granted being here all the time!!!  And they are learning to lean on Daddy a little bit more, so that is good for them too.
