I hate when I go to long without blogging! But it seems life just sometimes gets busy and I just forget about it until I am lying in bed at night. Here is what has been going on:
Eric - Eric is still at Think. He is struggling because he is just so unhappy there. He has been interviewing at CHI for over a month now, but positions just keep getting filled by internal applicants. He just had another interview last week, and they told him it will be a few weeks before he hears anything. So he is just plugging along until something happens.
Me - I am pretty stress free now that our SD house has FINALLY SOLD. Actually, that is untrue. Now my stress has moved onto the new house. I am also starting to get worried about next year with all the girls in school except Amelia. I hope I can rekindle my fun mom stuff that I used to do when I only had Payton at home, and do a lot with Amelia. She plays really good on her own, so I am worried my days are going to be LONG. But we will figure it out!
Payton - Payton had a great basketball season. She did so good, and we are so proud of how far she came from her first practice. She said she wants to play again next year, so we will see if she keeps up that desire. She is rocking in school and has all A's and school is still so easy for her. She is making some good friends now, so that is good to see. She is having trouble sleeping still, and most nights is up until 10. We are so baffled on why she just can't settle her brain down until then. She doesn't have trouble getting up in the morning, so I wonder if she just doesn't need much sleep, but it is just so late for a 9 yr old.
Eleanor - Still good old Eleanor. She is excelling in school also. She loves her teacher. She has a few best friends that she has gotten really attached too, so that helps her love school even more. There is not much to say about her because she really just goes with the flow. I did take her and Payton to see the movie Miracles from Heaven. Eleanor had a rough time with it. She is such an emotional person, that it really stuck with her and she cried for a few days after it, just thinking of it, She really is so tenderhearted.
Carley - just turned SIX today! I will blog about that next. But she seems to be doing better in school. NO crying like she used to. She still has her moments where she just breaks down in tears for no reason, sometimes out of nowhere. I can't figure her out just yet.
Maggie- Maggie had Kindergarten roundup and LOVED it. She had so much fun being part of something her sisters were a part of. I think she is more excited for that, than actual school. But she has grown up so much in the last few months. She is communicating better, and behaving better. She still has her moments, especially with Amelia and Payton, but she is learning how to deal with both of them.
Amelia - oh dear. This girl is still a bucket of laughs. She is seriously 12 years old, stuck in a 2 year olds body. She still does everything on her own, and only needs me for maybe dinner, and going outside. Even last night, she woke in the middle of the night, got out her under the bed drawer, found some pajama pants, put them on, and went back to bed. Her dresser was torn apart this morning, and I asked her, and she said she was cold and needed pants. She did it all herself in the dark. It really is amazing to see the stuff she does on her own. Except potty. She still decided which days to potty train, and which days to not. Sometimes she goes 3 times in the potty, and sometimes not at all. I figure she will tell me when she is ready.
