Maggie's first day!

I have never had a kid so excited as today.  She had a meet the teacher on Tuesday morning, and she was up at 5am, made her own bed, did her own hair, ate breakfast and was ready to go by 6:45.  Just like her big sisters were on their first day.  However, for those of us that know Maggie, that is so not like her.  She hates breakfast, she refuses to make her bed, and she is never dressed on time.
Today, her first official day, she was ready.  We dropped the big girls off first, then we have about 10 minutes before we can pull in and park and drop her off.  I was circling the block, and she said "Mom, when we get to school and I tell you it is time for you to leave, you need to leave, ok?"  She was all business and ready to be on her own.
I walked her in, dropped her off at her cubby, and she looked at me and said, "Ok, Mom you can leave now. "  We hugged and that was it!
When I picked her up, she was all smiles and so excited.  She has talked non-stop about her day.  And she has been so nice to Amelia.
As for me and Amelia, well, we will see how this goes.  She was kind of wandering around at first, but we went to the grocery store and we both loved it!  I could focus on what I need, she could get all of my attention, it was a match made in heaven.  I might get used to this one kid thing!  But I am glad Maggie is home now, because now I can get some stuff done around the house while her and Amelia play!
