Shame on me

So, it has been a month since I have posted.  I try, and I think of it every single day, but it sometimes seems so daunting.  Plus, I have started my little craft business, so any free moment I have, I am doing that.  Plus, we are still trying to find a place to live in Omaha, so any other free moment I have, I am doing that.  Hopefully, once we have a lot settled in the next month or so, I will get better.  For now, here is the update:

Eric - he is running again!  He is so excited.  He started about two weeks ago, and is taking it really slow, but it put a smile on his face again, which was so good to see.  Work is work.  He is ready to be done.  He has every Friday off until he is done in May, so it is really nice to have 3 day weekends every week.  He is getting very anxious about starting his new job, and is feeling a bit overwhelmed and stressed about it.

Holly - Started my little business called Holly Hobby.  I have done quite a bit of orders for friends/acquaintances.  My first month I made $200, so I will take it.  I have a craft show on April 11th, I am excited to do.  We will see how it goes!  I am still having problems with my foot.  The same ones I have had for a year now.  Next week I go in for an MRI and a nerve test to see if I have any nerve damage that causes the numbness and tingling.

Payton - School is doing better.  She talked to her teacher and it seems like her teacher is on her side about everything, so I know that she feels good about that.  She is so excited to move.  She talks about it every day.  She seems to remember Nebraska, so maybe she feels like it is home.  She is trying to earn money any way she can, I keep telling her in a few years she will be able to babysit and makes lots of money!

Eleanor - Eleanor thrives on school.  She is still quiet as a mouse, and her teacher is worried about that.  He asks her a question, and she will just stare at him.  She writes beautifully, and can express herself that way, but not verbally at all.  He is wondering if she is afraid of him, but she is that way with everyone.  She has her nose in a book at all times, and we can not keep up with her reading.  She gets so engrossed in the book, and loves that imaginary world.  However, books are disturbing her from other duties at home, so we have to try and get her NOT to read.  I hope next year she will open up a bit more, so her teachers will know that she is actually pretty smart.

Carley - Carley had to quit her preschool.  She was having problems with a boy and he would not leave her alone, so we decided to pull her out.  She has been sad, and has been acting up a bit, so I know it has affected her.  We have been having her go to gymnastics, but she still gets bored.  She is really trying to read lately, but it is hard when I am the only one to work with her.  She doesn't get as much as she needs.  I think she is going to thrive in Kindergarten.  She is so excited, she can't wait.  She still complains about being tired all the time, and he body hurting, so she is going to the doctor next week and we will see if anything is wrong, or if that is just how she is.  She is so close to riding a bike with no training wheels.  She just needs a bit more practice, and we think she can get it.  She ahs done it, but until she sees us not holding her, then she gets scared and quits.

Maggie - Maggie is doing a lot better.  We have realized we need to be better parents with her, and not react to her, and once we do that, she seems to do better at listening and being nice.  She can't wait for school either.  I just signed her up, so she will go on Tuesday and Thursdays.  I think it will be good for her, I am curious of how she will do.  She learned to ride a bike last week too!!  You should see this little 3 year old riding about.  She loves the freedom it has given her.  She does not like the cold weather, because she wants to be outside all day.

Amelia - Oh, my Amelia.  She is everywhere!  Not one of us here can keep up with her.  She just goes and goes.  She loves to climb.  She will climb anything and everything.  And she just likes to go up and down, then up and down, etc.  We have caught her in the toilet, on the tables, in the counter, on the computer printer. etc.  Our next house with stairs should be very interesting.  She can say a few words, like dada, sister, woof, woof, mama, and no, and thank you. But mostly she just grunts and cries.  She is such a cutie.

Well, hopefully, I will keep up better in March!!
