First snow of the year!

Not sure why I put an exclamation after the title. Maybe for the girls sake. They were so excited. Me, not so much. The weatherman said we should get about 1-2 inches, so I thought it would be nothing. But, we woke up in the morning to a world of white. Very pretty, until I realize we have to get all 6 of us loaded up to take the girls to school. The first few days of this weather it is in the -20's or so, so we could not go outside. Or really, I would not go outside. But the girls wanted to, so I got them all bundled up, and sent them on their merry way. They would last about 20 minutes, then come in and bed for hot chocolate, a bath, and a snack. Then go back out. The roads were bad, so really, I was just cursing that the whole time, but I am so glad that we didn't really have any where to go all weekend, so we just sat in our PJ's and watched outside. Amelia screamed pretty much the whole time her sisters were outside. But it was way too cold for her. Finally, on the warm day (20 degrees!) I let her out, and she loved the snow. She would eat it and lick it and all. Yum. Oh, and since Eric is still not able to walk, guess who gets to shovel??!!!??! Yup. And this snow was so heavy and full of ice. Not fun. I would go and do small sections and get so mad at it, that I would finally give up. After a few days, we called the housing office and used Eric's injury as an excuse to have them come and plow our driveway. And they did!!!!
