Happy Halloween!

We have had such amazing weather this October.  All week long we were in the high 60's and it was so nice.  Well, of course, on Halloween night was the coldest day of the month.  And it was so windy.  I got the girls all ready:
Payton was Cleopatra and we straightened her hair, gave her black eyeliner and she looked great.
Eleanor was a cowgirl - we put her hat on and added some freckles and she was ready with her gun.
Carley was Dorothy and after we did cute little pigtails and some freckles for her, she was ready.
Maggie was Glinda and we put lots of sparkly pink make-up on her and curled up her hair.
Amelia was a kitty cat and I just painted her nose black, and added her cat ears.  She was easy.

The plan was for me to take all the girls trick or treating since Eric can't walk yet.  But he wanted to go for a bit, so we all set out together.  It was so windy, as soon as we left, Eleanor's hat and Maggie's crown blew away.  So, we had to leave those at home.  We went to the first house, and it was all decked out spooky and Maggie was scared and started crying.  She took her full size candy bar and was ready to call it a day.  So, Eric took Maggie and Amelia back to the house.  I took the other girls down another street, then we went and dropped Carley back off at home, then I took Payton and Eleanor a few more houses.  Eric was having a hard time at home with Amelia, and trying to get to the door for trick or treaters, so we switched.  He wheeled around with Payton and Eleanor for a bit, and I handed out candy.  It all ended up working out, even if it was so cold and windy.
A few nights before Halloween, I decided to do a spooky dinner.  We had mummy calzones, a pumpkin veggie tray, some "blood" to drink and pumpkin cookies for dessert.  The girls loved it, and after they kept asking if we could have a spooky dinner every night.
