Welcome Amelia!! I arrived at the hospital at 6am to be induced. By the time we got settled, switched rooms, and finally got my Pitocin started, it was around 8:30. The contractions weren't too bad, so they kept cranking up my dose, and still by 10am I was still at a 3cm. (Which is what I was the whole week before). My doc finally came in around 11:30 and decided to break my water. As soon as she did that, we called for the epidural. and sure enough, I am glad he came right away. Once he was done with my epidural, I was at a 7. One hour after my water broke. Then another hour and I was ready to push. Amelia came easy and fast. She was a champ and started nursing right away....and didn't stop until my milk came in 2 days later. She is so special and I am so excited for her to join our family!!!
