There are a couple of certain little girls I know that have stopped napping. Sigh. I had a good three weeks when school started where they would nap together from about 12-2 and it was heaven. I was so bored. I loved it. But that stopped. Maggie stopped first, and Carley followed about a week later. So, now I get to spend ALL day long with a 2 and a 3 year old. With no break. Does I sound like I am complaining? No, I just really needed that quiet time. These girls are kind of high maintenance at this age, so it is just exhausting. Plus, they are still at that stage where they need a nap, so around 3:30 when we get home from school pick up, it is melt down time. I am hoping they figure out real soon that either a nap is needed, or they need to figure out how to make it to bedtime. I have always dreaded when kids give up naps, but since they both did it at once, it is double trouble.

Our days are a bit longer now, with out the nap thing. So, we need lots of things to do and lots of distractions. We go to the park, the craft store, the gym, gymnastics, Target, etc. Sometimes they are a handful, but other times they are so much fun.

On a side note - Carley quit gymnastics. She started in September and I was worried how she would do since she has never done anything before. But she was a champ. She loved it and could not wait to go every week. Enter in a few weeks ago. There was a sub for her class it was a guy. Oh no. She screamed and would not go. So, we tried again the next week. Nope. Still cried. So, we tried again the next week. Nope. Screamed for her mama. So, we are taking a break and maybe will try in the summer. But I do know a certain 2 year old that would LOVE to take her place!!!!

One yearly promise that I have not quit is decorating and frosting pumpkin cookies. No blizzard or pregnancy can stop that. We did it last week when dad was hunting. They were beautiful. As the girls get older, they almost look as good as mine, and I am almost to the point where I can eat one that they make.
