Not sure if you can see that small little girl on the far right of the stage. That is our little speller Payton in the 4th-8th grade spelling bee. She had actually gotten runner up for 4th grade. But the boy that won was out of town, so she went ahead! She was nervous as can be, as the whole school of 4t-8th grade gets to watch. But she did great and got 3rd place! A 7th and 8th grade girl beat her. She went out on the word banquet - she did it banquat. She is such a studious little kid and she LOVES to compete in these things. We are so proud of her. Not so much as for being a great speller, but for having the courage to do it.
