Are all 4th grades this busy. Sheesh. This girl has so much work to do all the time. I am so glad she is so organized and takes care of it all herself. If she had a car and a wallet, she wouldn't even need me! This week she had a project due on the state of Idaho. They had to make a float. It was all her idea, and some wandering around Hobby Lobby. But her vision came to life. It was actually a lot of fun to make! It has been since I was in elementary that I made any cool projects like that!
And then 3 days later, she had to make her valentine box. This is her last year to make them. She wasn't really into much. She told me about an idea of a fish bowl. So, we went out, bought a fish bowl, some rocks, stickers, etc. She kept putting of making it. Finally, it was Monday morning, and this thing was due Tuesday. I found a note by my door before she left for school - "Mom, I don't like my fish bowl idea and I don't want to do it anymore." Sigh. We hopped on Pintrest at 7am trying to find quick ideas. She found one for a vending machine. I told her probably not. It was snowy and windy and a horrible day for me to go driving around town for her project. I dropped her off at school, and she said, "Ok, I will just do the fishbowl." I felt so bad. So, I got home and got to work. When I picked her up, I told her now it was time for her to get to work. I had gathered everything that day, but she needed to put it all together. An hour later she was done! I think it turned out cute! And now I only have 4 more kids that will need Valentine Boxes for the next 10 years.
