Amelia turned two! We celebrated last week at the same time as Eleanor's birthday. SHe loved every second of it. She was spoiled for 3 days, because we celebrated as a family, then with friends, then at Russ and Krystle's. A few days after we were wrapping presents for a friends birthday, and she threw a fit, thinking more presents for her. But today we tried to take her two year pictures. She is the worst of the all the girls at the camera. She hates it. Anytime we bring it out, she yells and screams no. But today I bribed her big time. I told her we would take them outside, she could watch a movie, and she could have licorice. It took a lot of coercing, as you can see from the pictures, at first she was not having it. But she finally decided she would do it. And she looks so darn cute. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Things about Amelia:
-She loves Mickey Mouse. Every morning when she wakes up, she has to watch Mickey for a few minutes, or she is a grump.
-Same for drinkable yogurts. I think that might have been one of her first words - drinkable. She lays in bed moaning for a drinkable. We joke it is like those coffee commercials where people can't function until they have had coffee. She is that way with her yogurt.
-She is so close to potty training! She goes about 50% of the time. The other 50% she either goes on the floor, or in her diaper and then takes it off.
-She LOVES to be naked. She runs around screaming, "Naked baby, naked baby". Everyone gets a kick out of it.
-She loves baths. She also lives in a family of bath lovers. So, anytime someone gets in, she barges in, strips down, and joins them. There is never a peaceful or relaxing bath around here anymore.
-She is talking so much! It is amazing that last month she barely spoke a word. Now she copies EVERYTHING. Good and bad.
-She is a cuddler. Her and Eleanor get along great. They love to just cuddle and hug people all day long. Amelia says, "Huggies! Huggies!" and comes running to anyone with her arms open wide.
-She is still my investigative one. She will open it, find it, climb for it, figure it out. She can pretty much take care of herself at this point. If the world was to end, I think she would be a last survivor, she is very resourceful for a two year old.
-MAKEUP! Oh no. She is my first that loves make-up. She has always tried to steal mine, so I gave her a little make up bag with some empty containers, brushes, and some chapstick. It is with her at all times.
WE love having her in the family! The girls adore every second of her and fight for time with her. She is spoiled for sure!
