Payton did great at her Geography Bee!!! She was so nervous. Her teacher told me that she went to the nurses office that morning and was crying because of the nerves. But she got over it and did so good! She had about 3 or four questions that she got right, and then she did go out on the next round. Her question she went out on was: What is the largest island in the group of islands called the Antilles? The answer was Cuba. I didn't even know that!!!!
This is her and the other kids. Her and the other girl are the only 4th graders, the rest are 5th-8th grade boys.
Her first question was what was a Florida question, which I knew she knew because she had just done a report on the everglades. This next question was asking about the movie Wizard of Oz. She has watched that a million times, so we were good on that one too! We are so proud of her!!!
