Eric's Injury

The last day of our Nebraska trip, we headed over to the school where Russ works to play around in the gym.  The kids were running around, and Russ plays basketball with some friends.  Eric decided to step in a play for a bit of the game, and he was having fun, until pop.  And he went down.  He knew right away what it was, as he felt that same feeling 10 years ago when he tore his first Achilles tendon.  We took him to Urgent Care, and she didn't know what had happened, so she gave him a boot to wear, and told him to get an MRI as soon as he could.
Well, we were stuck in Nebraska then, plus it was a holiday weekend.  So, we tried to just hang out that last day, then we left early the next morning for home.  And guess who had to drive?  Me.  Ugh.  It was foggy and rainy when we left, and windy most of the day.  Needless  to say, I was a stressed out mess until we pulled into our driveway.  The good news, is the kids did amazing.  Amelia didn't cry once the way there or the way home.
So, we hung out at home on Monday and Eric finally got in for an MRI Tuesday afternoon.  And yes, it was a torn Achilles and he is schedule for surgery on Monday the 20th.  He is not happy about this at all.
