Payton had her first piano recital. Kind of. It was a tester. They played in the entrance way of a Sesame Street Live performance at the civic center. So, no audience, but lots of people walking around. She was so nervous. She kept taking really deep breaths. But when her turn was up, she sat down, looked out at the audience, and played. She put on a show. She played better than I had heard her yet. Old McDonald had a farm was the song. At the end, she got up, ran to us, and started crying. She is my emotional girl. She was so proud of herself, but also overwhelmed at how nervous she was, that she just lost it. The good news was, for performing, she got a free ticket to see the Elmo Live show, as did her sisters.
Maggie and Carley loved every second of it. It was good for their age. Eleanor liked it too, and Payton said she liked it, but not like the two little ones. They were screaming and dancing and yelling out. It was so funny to see their faces. So, thank you to Payton for performing so her sisters could see the show.
