Big girl bed

Daddy made Carley her own big girl bed this week.  She has been sleeping in Payton and Eleanor's bed on Eleanor's trundle.  We were a bit nervous about her moving into Maggie's room, but we needed to do it before school started because Carley is a bit chatty and keeps the girls up at night.

This was her taking a nap.  She looks pretty comfy, huh?  She won't let anyone touch her bed, she won't let anyone even step on the stool he made.  And she even keeps her room clean and if the girls leave something in there, she yells at them to clean it up, she doesn't want a messy room.  I hope she will be a good influence for Maggie.  So far, we put Maggie to bed first and wait till she is asleep, then Carley sneaks in and goes to bed.

Naps are a different story.  We had tried to lay them down together, but Maggie just yells and keeps Carley up.  So, we lay Carley down first, then try and put Maggie down.  So far, we have about a 25% success rate.  She will either fall asleep, or most likely Maggie will decide not to nap.  Last week she went 5 days in a row with no nap.  What happens when she doesn't nap?  It is a hit and a miss.  Sometimes she is a happy camper all day, sometimes she is a big grump, and sometimes she falls asleep on the couch while I make dinner.
But she really needs a nap.  Or actually, I need her to take a nap.  She is a little chatterbox.  Emotionally, sometimes I just the silence.  And it is lovely once she finally does take a nap.
