We signed the girls up for the Run or Dye race. We weren't; really sure what to expect, but they were so excited to do it. We have signed them up for kids races before, but this was a big time 5K, so they thought this was the real deal. They were actually going to be running with adults - that made it seem like a big deal. We got decked out that morning and had to leave the house by 7:30. Carley told me she was nervous, but as soon as we got there and started tossing this chalk/dye around, she loved it! Maggie had a really rough time at first and just wanted me to hold her, but by the end of the race, she was loving it. And she may have finally learned her colors. Payton and Eric ran the whole thing with the little girls in the stroller, and Eleanor and I walked/run it. But for 3.2 miles, I was impressed that Payton kept up with Dad, and that Eleanor did it in 38 minutes. It was so fun, we hope to do it again!

Before the race, we had about 2 hours of waiting time. Lots of time to dye ourselves and roll around in it.
You can see Maggie's face here. She was so not happy.
And here either. She would get dye on her thumb and cry until we washed it off. As long as that thumb was clean, she was good.
Post race! We are covered. In our ears, our stroller, our teeth. Even Payton's underarms were colored.
Now this is the girls I know! This is at the finish line, she was happy and loving getting splashed with color at that point.
Pretty cute, couple, huh?
