We have pretty much been hunkered down the last week. We have gotten more snow pretty much every day and we have not seen the sun. We literally have gone nowhere and done nothing. It has been actually nice. But the less I do, the less I want to do. So, since we have nowhere to go and the weather is yucky, I don't even want to take the girls to school. I think we are all ready for summer and summer break. The girls have been begging to wear shorts and flip flops, but we must wait.
A few things that have been funny:
Maggie. She is just funny. And she knows it. She has been doing better at listening, but is still a bit of a nuisance to her sisters. Her and Eleanor get into the most. Not sure why, but those two just can not get along very good. Payton and Carley know how to appease Maggie, but Eleanor just won't. I think it is also from the fact that Eleanor and Maggie spend the most time together. I think next year will El in school all day, that will change. Maggie also wants to potty train so bad. Every time ANY one of us goes potty, she will go to. Nothing comes out, but she wipes, flushes, and pulls up her pants. She is also adamant about doing it on her own. Usually at the worst time. Like yesterday (and the day before) while I am getting the girls in the car to take to school and Maggie is missing. I find her in the bathroom, naked, sitting on the potty. We have almost been late a few days this week because of her going potty. I hope she either figures it out, or gets bored of it soon.
Kissing. We had a long talk about kissing the other night. Payton had a few questions. She wanted to know how old I was. I told her 17 (which is the truth). I talked to them about being sweet sixteen and what that means. They all promised they would be sweet sixteen. We will see. But I think it stems from the show Full House. It is on Nickelodeon every night and they beg to watch it after their bath. Even Maggie. They LOVE the show. They will sit for the whole episode and just watch in awe. But the last few episodes I think DJ had her first kiss, or something like that. I guess it gets the conversation started. I am thinking Payton probably has a few questions I need to talk to her alone. She was reading my tampon box the other day and asked what they were, but before I could answer she got distracted. I am not sure Mom ever talked to me about any of that, I really don't remember. I remember learning about it in 5th grade at school. I don't even know if they do that anymore. But, I feel the pressure to talk to her since she learns things at school that are not correct. Like she kicked a soccer ball at Eric and said "I kicked him in the balls!", but then she did it to Eleanor and kicked Eleanor in the "balls" too. So, I might need to straighten her out. And the fact that they don't have a younger brother, I think they might think that all people are the same. Oh, boy, this will be fun.
