What a week!

So, we were ready to go back to school on Wednesday.  I was getting Payton ready and she threw up.  And then she proceeded to throw up for the next 30 hours.  We finally had the Dr. give her some anti nausea medicine, because the poor thing was dry heaving all day long.  And it stopped.  Finally.  Until Thursday night Eleanor decided to take her place.  And she doesn't like to even try to make it to the bathroom.  She just freezes and cries.  All of this while Eric is trying to enjoy his week off/build a new kitchen table.

Come last night, we were so tired and exhausted and decided to get the kids to bed around 7, and go to bed ourselves.  At a bit before 7, our power went off.  Only ours.  Thankfully, our friend/neighbor works in Civil Engineering, so he called the boys over and they tried to find out what went wrong.  Until 1am when they brought over a generator because our house was freezing.  We finally went to bed around 2, but then Eleanor woke up again throwing up.  And back up at 7 because the engineering guys were back to give us a new transformer.

It is 11:00 in the afternoon now.  All kids are sleeping, the power is fixed, and look what is done:

Beautiful, isn't it? It was a lot of work for Eric, and his first time ever doing any woodworking. I am so proud. And the thing is solid as a rock. We will probably have it forever.

This is how we ate each night with no table to eat on.
A little dancing on tables can't harm her this early, right?
And when you are sick, sometimes you just want to hang out with mom and dad in the kitchen, right?

Glad this week is over. On to the next please. I am thinking our new King Bed frame is next!!!!
